Why spelling consistency matters
Arabic names may be written in English in more than one acceptable way. However, the translation should remain consistent with the spelling used on the client’s passport, immigration record, or receiving-agency file whenever appropriate. Clients should provide the preferred spelling before work begins.
Certified, notarized, and apostilled are different
A certified translation includes a translator’s accuracy statement. A notarized translation generally means the translator’s signature on that statement was notarized. An apostille authenticates an eligible public official’s signature or certification for international use. These terms are not interchangeable, and not every submission requires all three.
