Do we still need a Maryland marriage license?
Yes. An officiant does not issue a marriage license. The couple must obtain the proper license from the appropriate Maryland circuit court and follow the instructions and waiting period provided by the court. Bring the valid license and all required materials to the ceremony. After the ceremony, the officiant completes and returns the required portion according to the court’s instructions.
